Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your images are processed on your device, they are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we do not run any servers that receive your data.
- Images are compressed, resized, saved and shared entirely on your device.
- No account, sign-up or login is required.
- The app itself does not collect personal information.
- Ads are shown through Google AdMob, which may collect certain data as described in section 3.
1. Who we are
"We", "us" and "the app" refer to the publisher of Image Size — KB Compressor: Todayintech solution. Contact: contact@todayintech.in.
2. Your images and files
- Selecting images. You choose images with the Android system photo picker. The app receives access only to the images you pick, not to your whole gallery.
- Processing. Compression, resizing, previews and comparisons run on your device. Images are not sent to any server, and no cloud service processes them.
- Your originals. The app only reads your original files. It never edits or deletes them.
- Generated files. Compressed copies are stored in the app's private storage until you delete them. When you choose Save, a copy is written to Pictures/Image Size KB on your device. When you choose Share, a copy is handed to the app you select.
- Image content in logs. The app does not write image content to logs.
3. Advertising and third-party services
The app is free and supported by ads. It uses the following third-party services:
| Service | Purpose | Data it may collect |
|---|---|---|
| Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) | Showing banner, full-screen and rewarded ads | Advertising ID and other device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and operating system information, app diagnostics, and ad interactions. |
| Google User Messaging Platform | Asking for ad consent where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some other regions | Your consent choices and related identifiers. |
- No image content, file names or file contents are shared with these services.
- Google acts as an independent controller for the data it collects. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- You can reset or disable your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings, Privacy, Ads). Where available, the app's Settings screen offers "Ad privacy options" to review or change your consent.
- Ads load only when you are online. Compression, saving and sharing work without an internet connection.
4. Information stored on your device
The app keeps a small amount of data locally so it can work properly. It is not sent to us.
- History: for each result, the file name, original and compressed size, dimensions, format, target size and time.
- Settings and counters: your default format and quality, last target size, a daily count of saves, and a session counter used to limit how often full-screen ads appear.
You can clear history and delete generated files at any time in Settings. Uninstalling the app removes all of this data. Local app data is excluded from Android backup and device transfer.
5. Permissions
- Internet and network state: used only by the advertising SDK.
- Advertising ID: used only by the advertising SDK.
- The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or all of your files and photos.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the ad services, contact us and we will help.
7. Security
Because your images stay on your device, they are protected by your device's own security. Shared files use Android's secure content sharing, and only the app you choose receives them.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. We do not hold personal data about you, so for ad-related data please use your Android ad settings, the in-app ad privacy options, or Google's controls at myadcenter.google.com. You can also contact us with any request.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if the app or the services it uses change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be reflected in the app listing or the app itself.
